Kurokami The Animation: Kuro, Keita and Akane arrive in Okinawa at the same time as a large group of Master Roots from the Kaionji Group. Keita takes Kuro and Akane to visit his grandfather and try to find out more about the mysterious picture of his mother. However, the group are soon attacked by a pair of Motsumitama's who believe they are trying to steal the Holy Stone of their tribe. However, it is actually the Kaionji Group that plans to steal the stones and then destroy them thus causing a massive imbalance in the flow of Tera leading to a world ruled by Master Roots.
