Initial D: After given a tempting incentive by Mako, Iketani asks Takumi to race, and he accepts! But Kenji tells him that is a bad idea especially since Takumi had never driven Usui Pass before, and he accuses Iketani of selling out his friend. As they go to Usui Pass, Iketani agrees to try to stop Takumi, but he is still determined to race. Eventually they meet up with Mako and Sayuki, who explains the rules of the race.
