Brendan and three friends agree to smuggle cocaine out of Brazil for $50,000. They would get caught at the airport. Brendan's father uses his connections to keep the group from a typical 25 year sentence. The sentence is reduced to 4.5 years to be served at Carandiru. This prison is one of the most notorious prisons in Brazil and was the scene of a massacre in which many prisoners were killed.
